Yeah, well, it WAS going to be an exclusive for SDCC 2020, and still is kinda. The good news is you’ll have a better chance at picking up one of these returning favorites- the Captain Picard Facepalm Statue.

If you’ll recall this iconic moment with Sir Patrick Stewart from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” portraying Captain Jean Luc Picard of the Federation Starship Enterprise doing something we all do- faceplaming. The famous action can be seen in TNG’s third season episode 13, “Deja Q.” (Because of COURSE it has to do with Q, right?)

Someone brilliantly decided to turn the reaction into a bust statue, that of course sold out pretty quickly.

Thankfully, our pals over at Entertainment Earth are bringing it back.

Star Trek: The Next Generation Picard Facepalm Limited Edition Bust – San Diego Comic-Con 2020 Previews Exclusive. Even Captain Jean-Luc Picard has had enough! This 8-inch scale mini-bust beautifully captures the hilariously famous facepalm maneuver. This mini-bust features a modified right shoulder sculpt and a painted Starfleet insignia on the base. Limited to only 1,701 pieces, this exclusive Captain Picard mini-bust is made of polystone, hand painted, individually numbered, and includes a certificate of authenticity.

You can pre-order Picard in all his facepalm glory from Entertainment Earth here. They expect him to start shipping in August of 2020.

Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
