Unless you’ve been living under a video game rock this year, chances are you know all about Gary Whitta‘s “Animal Crossing” in-game talkshow, “Animal Talking.” Verge calls it the hottest talkshow of the year, and we don’t disagree.

“Animal Crossing New Horizons” has taken the Nintendo Switch world by storm. Everyones’ getting in on it- including “Lord of The Rings” star Elijah Wood, who famously has become the poster child for polite island visiting.

guys I tweeted my turnip prices and elijah wood just came to my island and hung out ????? this is the best day in quarantine yet pic.twitter.com/H3mYJWnvgR

Which brings us to yesterday’s episode of “Animal Talking,” where Jessica joined Gary Whitta, Elijah Wood, and Danny Trejo for a visit to the studio.

The results where perhaps one of the most pure moments on the internet we’ll see this month.

This may be my favorite moment from #AnimalTalking so far. We've broadcast about 30 hours of this dumbass show but if I had to show any 60 seconds from all of it I'd show this. Thanks @directedbyrian @officialDannyT @elijahwood @nickervision for this moment of pure glee. pic.twitter.com/irlCWmxsSO

We’re still holding out for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez aka AOC to show up.

This is funny and bizarre enough to be very compelling to me

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
