“Rollercoaster Bridge” In Japan is the Most Anxiety Inducing Thing We’ve Seen

Road trips are a great time to take in sights and see wonderful things. Even make memories along the way with family, friends, or a loved one. Heck you just might look up on your phone or computer beforehand and see if there is anything that’s worth checking out. You know, tourist traps. But there is one thing I know for certain, that if you are ever in Japan and you want to try something that is anxiety inducing, well here ya go.

Oh gosh my body was tingling all over and I had to step away from that madness. Given the nickname Roller Coaster Bridge that is located in Sakaiminamoto Japan. This area of Japan has a lot of boat traffic and in order to accommodate all they had to come up with a clever way to ensure all boats can pass, and all cars can get across as well. And well this was the design. The structures maximum slope is 6.1%, so basically for every 100 ft you are going down 6.1 ft vertically. Terrifying.

It is a big tourist destination and people love to watch cars go in both directions. To me, I would rather keep my distance next time I go back to Japan. This is way too intense for me.
