Fargo’s Noah Hawley to Write & Direct Next Star Trek Film

Earlier this year it looked like we weren’t going to get another Star Trek film for a while. According to Deadline, we will be getting one from Paramount with Noah Hawley and J.J. Abrams taking the lead. The two have teamed up under their production banners of 26 Keys and Bad Robot. The Enterprise crew will be led by Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban.

It was back in January that we thought that the next film would be outright cancelled. It was seemingly due to salary negotiations between the two Chris’ that fell through. Pine and Chris Hemsworth wanted more than they were being offered. But it would appear that they have broken through and have now attached a writer and director to the new film.

Currently there is no word on when they are shooting for a premiere date but it is very much in the works. So fans are excited to return to the movies to watch more Star Trek on the big screen.
