Tool Is Trying Something New With Latest Physical Release

Anyone who’s a fan of the band Tool knows that they’re no strangers to gimmicks. Past releases from the band include a special booklet with 3D glasses and a hologram disc from frontman Maynard’s other band, A Perfect Circle.

The physical release for the highly anticipated Fear Inoculum is going to take things up a notch by including a 4″ HD rechargeable screen and a 2 watt speaker, featuring exclusive footage, along with a USB charger, MP3 download card, and 36 page booklet. The whole package will be limited and will go for a shockingly low $45.

The album is available to stream and pre order here:

The title track has already taken the number one spot on the iTunes Top Songs chart, and after giving it a listen myself, I’ve gotta say, it’s pretty damn good. But then again, Tool really can do no wrong, as far as I’m concerned.
