Facebook has decided to rebrand as a way to keep things transparent for users. Some of the platforms that they have bought out will now have the “from Facebook” tagline so that people are aware about what company will be supporting it from now on.
The new opening images for the platforms will be loading up when you open the apps as well as featured on the Google Play and Apple stores. Also included in this branding makeover is the application WhatsApp.
“We want to be clearer about the products and services that are part of Facebook,” said a Facebook spokesperson.
This could have negative connotations since Facebook was recently fined $5 billion for privacy violations. The Instagram platform is more popular with a younger demographic than Facebook is and it will remain to be seen whether or not the Facebook name beside Instagram will be a negative or not affect it at all.
