52,000 People Vote for Their Favorite Pokemon, Four Pokemon Receive No Votes

When talking about Pokemon, its almost impossible to have a conversation that doesn’t involve favorites. Whether it’s because they are cute, powerful, have the best stats, or even an interesting origin story-everyone has a Pokemon that is particularly close to their heart. There seems to be a Pokemon for everyone, or at least it seemed that way before a recent poll.

Recently, the official announcement that Pokemon Sword and Shield would not feature every single Pokemon has left much of the fan base less than pleased. As a result, reddit user mamamia1001 created a survey which allowed everyone to vote for their favorite Pokemon. The goal of the survey was to discover whether or not “every Pokemon is someone’s favorite.” The line has been frequently thrown around by upset fans across the internet. Mamamia1001 wanted to discover if it truly was possible for every single Pokemon to be someone’s favorite.

Charizard came out on top with over 1100 votes

52,725 people cast their votes on the survey, averaging out at about 65 people per Pokemon. The top ten Pokemon at the end of the survey (in order) were Charizard, Gengar, Arcanine, Bulbasaur, Blaziken, Umbreon, Lucario, Gardevoir, Eevee, and Dragonite. Unsurprisingly, generation one Pokemon received the most overall votes of any generation of Pokemon. It’s hard to compete with the basis of everything after all. While almost every Pokemon received some form of love, four Pokemon stood out at the end of the survey with zero votes. The four were Silcoon, Gothita, Eelektrik, and Yungoos.

    No love for these four

So it seems Mamamia10001’s survey proves that while we may catch them all, we may not necessarily love them all.
