Netflix and Wizards Of The Coast are joining forces to bring Magic: The Gathering to life in a new Netflix animated series.
Anthony and Joe Russo, the brothers who directed both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame have signed on as Executive Producers for an animated series of Magic: The Gathering to premiere on Netflix.
Henry Gilroy (a writer on “Star Wars Rebels”) and Jose Molina (“The Tick”) will serve as the series lead writers.
The brothers were quoted as saying “We have been huge fans and players of Magic: The Gathering for as long as it has been around, so being able to help bring these stories to life through animation is a true passion project for us”.

So far we haven’t heard much information on the plot or a projected release date. But we do see Planeswalker character “Chandra” on the Netflix teaser image. Planewalkers are described as “Magic’s unique magic-wielding heroes and villains as they contend with stakes larger than any one world can hold.”
