It’s the Endgame for James Cameron and his Titanic’s global box office No. 2 spot as Marvel and Producer Kevin Feige’s Avengers: Endgame snapped their way to the spot.

In a fun fashion, Cameron posted an image on Twitter of the Avengers logo tipping up the Titanic from down below.

Cameron wrote: “To Kevin and Everybody at Marvel, An iceberg sank the real ‘Titanic.’ It took the ‘Avengers’ to sink my ‘Titanic.’ Everyone here at Lightstorm Entertainment salutes your amazing achievement. You’ve shown that the movie industry is not only alive and well, it’s bigger than ever!”

On Sunday, Endgame sank the Titanic as the No. 2 movie globally becoming only the fifth film ever to cross $2B globally.

There’s still one film to beat for the No.1 all time global spot and it also happens to be another production by James Cameron…AVATAR!

We’ll know soon enough if the Avengers have enough fight left to make it to the finish line.
