My favorite Superhero was created 80 years ago. Yes the legendary Batman! As I reported before, more exciting news was going to be dropped, starting at Wondercon this past weekend.
To kick off his 80th birthday with a bang DC’s very own publisher and chief creative officer Jim Lee told the crowd that Batman would be the inaugural inductee to the Comic-Con Museums Character Hall of Fame in a very special momentous ceremony happening this year at San Diego Comic-Con.
At the Batman 80th Birthday Panel this year which included some big star names who have helped bring Batman to life included Kevin Conroy, Lee Meriwether, David Mazouz, Roger Craig Smith, and Grace Randolph.
This Joyous celebration will take place at Federal Building in San Diego’s Balboa Park which will be the future sight of the Museum. What a way to kick off San Diego Comic-Con with a bang on July 17th! Not only do we get an amazing ceremony, but also it is rumored to have many celebrities who have worked with the Dark Knight over the years in attendance and have a museum filled with memorabilia from over the last 80 years. Tickets for this event go on sale June 3rd.
I am almost positive that Bill and Bob would be so proud to see their creation doing so well and bringing joy to countless thousands over the years, and the many years to come.
