Series producers have announced, via Hollywood Reporter,That the show will finally be over since its premiere after 2012. Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz, executive producer Greg Berlanti and consulting producer Marc Guggenheim have confirmed that season 8 in  2019-2020 will only have 10 episodes total.

Schwartz commented on the reasoning behind the ending of the Cw’s most-watched scripted original, “This was a difficult decision to come to, but like every hard decision we’ve made for the past seven years, it was with the best interests of Arrow in mind.”

Arrow star Stephen Amell, gave a farewell on twitter, stating that

Rumors of the shows cancellation were born out of the last multishow crossover event, Crisis On Infinite Earths, where a sacrifice was hinted for Amell’s character Oliver Queen. The 5+ years of airtime have also shown wider inconsistent reactions of the show from fans.
