On February 28th, HBO took the internet by storm ( a winter storm specifically) with new images for the upcoming season of Game of Thrones. The latest season will serve as the finale for the series and eager fans can’t wait to see who will claim the Iron Throne. The images provide a first look at some of the characters’ new costumes for the season. They even show the return of one previously absent character. All of the images show the characters sitting on the ominous Iron Throne.

Fans of the series are eager to see the climatic finale for both beloved and despised characters alike. Especially since the television series has surpassed the book series by George R.R. Martin. No one knows how things are going to end, but it is sure to be bloody and brutal.

Who will claim the Iron Throne? Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on April 14th. Until then, we will just have to speculate and hope our favorites may stand a chance.
