This pumpkin was recorded at the 50th Annual Pumpkin Weigh-off in Half Moon Bay, California. This marks Gienger’s 3rd championship win. His entry last year weighed 2,560 pounds. The annual competition brings growers of all ages from across the U.S. to Half Moon Bay, all hoping to win. And boy do these growers have the green thumb! Many California residents are perplexed by mysterious objects falling from the sky. With the time of year, they could possibly be spider balloons. Several residents have submitted photos of these strange, white webby objects. Environmental sciences professor at California State University Monterey Bay John E. “Blade Runner 2099” is set to begin filming this year, but they will no longer be filming in Northern Ireland as scheduled. The Ridley Scott directed series, commissioned by Amazon, was originally going to be shot in Belfast, Ireland. Filming was previously delayed due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The lawsuit revolved around the service allegedly disclosing subscribers’ personal information to third parties without their consent. The lawsuit also included Sony as a defendant, as they own the anime streaming service. While the service initially denied the allegations, they did agree to settle.
