This just in-Nathan Fillion has joined the cast of the upcoming James Gunn written-and-directed film, “Superman: Legacy.” He’s not just ‘appearing,’ either. He’ll FINALLY be taking on the role fans have wanted him to play for years, Green Lantern. Fillion will be portraying Guy Gardner, one of the many DC Comics characters to carry the ring. Other casting news included Isabela Merced (“Dora and the Lost City of Gold”) as Hawkgirl, and Edi Gathegi (“X-Men: First Class”) as Mister Terrific. Warner Bros. Pictures has released what they’re touting as the ‘final’ trailer for the upcoming film, “Blue Beetle.” The film, which is the second-to-last in the pre James Gunn, Peter Safran-led DC Studios block, has been delayed more than once. The important thing though is it stars Xolo Maridueña ( “Cobra Kai”) as as Jaime Reyes, the first Latino superhero lead for the studio! We’re also getting Harvey Guillén and Susan Sarandon, so it’s already shaping up to be a pretty interesting movie. Well well well, if it isn’t Ryan Reynolds sharing first looks at “Deadpool 3” costumes! In a story posted to his Instagram account, we can see Deadpool and Wolverine walking together. It has been 70 days since the Writers Guild of America (WGA) began their strike against the AMPTP, demanding fair compensation for their work. Ridley Scott’s historical epic “Napoleon” has it’s first trailer. Scott directs from a script by David Scarpa. We’re not quite sure how or why, but Jennifer Garner is returning as comic character Elektra for the upcoming Marvel Studios film “Deadpool 3.” Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star, with Shawn Levy (“The Adam Project”) is directing.
