He started performing standup in Texas in the 90s, performing on “The John Stewart Show,” as well as several other late night series. Hardwick brought Hank Hill’s conspiracy-obsessed neighbor Dale Gribble to life on the Fox animated series “King of the Hill” across 258 episodes. (The original series run was 259 episodes.) While two major guilds in Hollywood are currently on strike, another important cog in the motion picture machine is looking to form a union. Visual effects are a pretty integral part of modern movie making, and a decidedly underserved group when it comes to guild/union protections. After several years of will they/won’t they, it would appear an in-house Marvel Studios VFX team is moving forward with plans to join IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees). We are very sorry to report the passing of director William Friedkin. He was best known for his groundbreaking and genre touchstone work on such films as “Sorcerer,” “To Live and Die in L.A.,” and “The Exorcist.” Freidkin won an Oscar for “The French Connection” (1971).The news of his passing was confirmed by Sherry Lansing, his longtime producer, studio head, and wife. Friedkin was 87.

With Hollywood literally at a standstill with both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, strong feelings from those impacted is to be expected. We are very sorry to report the passing of PeeWee Herman himself, Paul Reubens. The actor had been very privately battling cancer for sometime. Disney+ has released the official trailer for season 2 of “Loki.” We were all pretty surprised when the second season was announced, as all early reports indicated it was going to be a limited one-of. Sony Pictures has become one of the first big studios to push back major releases already on the calendar, due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike against the AMPTP. “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” was set to open March 29th, 2024, but has been taken off the calendar indefinitely. “Kraven the Hunter” is moving from October 6th 2023, to August 30th 2024″Gran Turismo” originally was set to bow August 11th.
