Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

2023 sees the 5th “Indiana Jones” film starring Harrison Ford hit theaters. To celebrate, some of our favorite companies are offering new collectables, toys, and even tiki mugs. This just in from “Star Wars” Celebration-we just got confirmation of three directors coming to the galaxy far, far away. Dave Filoni, James Mangold, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Mangold’s will take place during the High Republic. Filoni’s will reportedly be the culmination of the various series coming together. (We’re expecting that means “The Mandalorian,” “The Book of Boba Fett,” and “Ahsoka.”)Obaid-Chinoy’s set 15 after Rise of Skywalker, and will star Daisy Ridley as Rey. The time has come for Star Wars Celebration 2023, which is taking place in London. Billed as Celebration Europe, the first panel on the schedule for this year is the Lucasfilm Showcase. This just in-A fifth “Shrek” film is finally moving forward again. Following the ending of “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” this isn’t really surprising, as we see the feline hero sailing towards Far Far Away. It’s actually been in some kind of development since 2016. Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri confirmed the project while talking about “The Super Mario Bros. In 1998, a new version of the story of Cinderella found its way to theaters. Called “Ever After,” it was a more realistic version of the classic tale, without a fairy godmother. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has just revealed a live-action version of Disney’s “Moana” is in the works! The announcement from Disney also included a mention of Auli’i Cravalho, who voiced Moana in the animated film, being involved. No confirmation on if she’ll be reprising the role in the live action or not. We can only hope! Someone at Warner Bros. Pictures / DC Studios prematurely published the first trailer for the upcoming film, “Blue Beetle” this morning. Yes, the trailer was announced for a release TODAY, but, apparently not at the time it was made live.Obviously based on the DC Comics character, the film will star Xolo Maridueña (“Cobra Kai“) as Jaime Reyes, a Latino superhero! We’re also getting Harvey Guillén and Susan Sarandon, so it’s already shaping up to be a pretty interesting movie. “Blue Beetle” will hit theaters on August 18th, 2023.
