Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

A piece of Walt Disney Animation history is getting his own starring vehicle. No, not another member of Mickey Mouse’s usual inner circle of Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Goofy. You know how sometimes food can resemble other items? Grilled cheese with the image of the Virgin Mary or Jesus burned on it, a garden-grown gourd shaped like something it’s not. Stuff like that. But what about when a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto looks like an iconic Pokémon? Well, when that happens, you apparently auction it off for around $87,840, naturally. For comparison, here’s an actual Charizard card. And the aforementioned ‘Cheetozard’ card. “Presented is a 3-inch long Flamin’ Hot Cheeto in the shape of the Pokémon Charizard, affixed to a customized Pokémon card and encapsulated in a clear card storage…

It’s always sad to see a show you love end. Even more so when you’ve been one of the main stars of said series for over 10 years. Sam Heughan, who has played Jamie Fraser in STARZ series “Outlander,” has done his last day of recording. “Well. That’s it. The last ADR on ‘Outlander’ completed,” Heughan says. “On the Universal lot. The studio, behind me. Very emotional, but I’m very excited for the fans to see the final episode. Visionary filmmaker George Miller isn’t saying never to a 6th “Mad Max” film. He already has what he calls “another script” for the tale. Miller has, for years, teased another post-apocalyptic prequel story, which would come after “Furiosa.” This one would be from Max Rockatansky’s point of view, and directly lead into the 2015 epic “Mad Max: Fury Road.” It would be called, appropriately, “The Wasteland.” “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” cleaned up at Vulture’s Stunt Awards this past weekend, taking home the top prize for best achievement in stunts overall for Hayley Wright, who doubled for star Anya Taylor-Joy. As we tried to tell everyone when the “news” from a dubious source was first reported earlier this week, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy is NOT, we repeat, NOT retiring yet. She’s now cleared the air a bit about this, and other upcoming bits of news from the galaxy far, far away. “Any discussion previously about me retiring or quitting or any of those things, that’s complete rumor mill because through all these reports, I have just continued doing my job, and continuing my contract,” Kennedy said. “Nothing unusual. It all has just been manufactured.” “The truth is, and I want…
