Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Today, Bob himself took to Twitter to share in his own words what happened and how he’s doing now.

This is absolutely not the post apocalyptic news we expected to report on today, but apparently a tv series based on Universal’s “Waterworld” is happening. The original film imagined Earth after the polar ice caps had melted and the sea level rose to such heights that the oceans became the surface of the planet. Humans obviously had to adapt with mutations including gills, as displayed by Kevin Costner’s lead character. It would appear that Dan Trachtenberg (“10 Cloverfield Lane,” “The Boys”) has been tapped to direct the series for Universal Television, so says original producer John Davis.”We’re going to do…

In a very strange turn of events, “Avengers” star Scarlett Johansson has brought a lawsuit against Disney. Focused on an alleged breach of contract, the suit indicates an agreement for exclusive theatrical release of “Black Widow” wasn’t met by the company. Which, obviously it wasn’t, as the film released both theatrically and on streaming service Disney+. “Disney intentionally induced Marvel’s breach of the agreement, without justification, in order to prevent Ms. Johansson from realizing the full benefit of her bargain with Marvel,” the suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, stated. Obviously this isn’t the first time a…
