Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

This is probably a great idea for Paramount Pictures’ fledgling streaming service that launches next month. That long-developing live-action series based on hugely popular video game franchise “Halo” is moving from it’s original home at SHOWTIME to Paramount+.CBS All Access will morph into Paramount+ starting on March 4th.This “Halo” news was announced during ViacomCBS Streaming Event earlier today, which ALSO included a likely premiere date of sometime in the spring of 2022. Last we heard about the series, original Cortana actress Jen Taylor had been brought on board, replacing  Natascha McElhone in the role. Taylor joins Pablo Schriber as Master Chief.

After a weirder than average social media tease of possible titles for Sony Pictures’ upcoming 3rd “Spider-Man” film starring Tom Holland, we officially have the REAL title.”Spider-Man: No Way Home” was revealed by the film’s official Twitter account. A new behind-the-scenes video was also released, featuring the film’s stars and official title treatment for the flick. We also got a release date update, as originally “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was going to hit theaters on December 18th 2021, but now looks to be swinging into a Christmas release the following week.

We are very pleased to report that we know exactly when some exciting new releases from Disney+ are dropping! Marvel Studios’ third live-action original series for the streaming service has an official release date, as well as animated “Star Wars: The Bad Batch.”The Tom Hiddleston-starring series “Loki” is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on June 11th. “Star Wars: The Bat Batch” will premiere on May 4th, or as we call it around here- “May The 4th (Be With You),” which is widely recognized as Star Wars Day. For whatever reason, NBC’s new streaming service Peacock is currently developing a competition series based on the classic Konami video game, Frogger. This announcement shouldn’t come as a surprise in a world that contains a live-action “Battleship” film, a “Tetris” movie, and a proposed Rubix Cube universe. We’re assuming this is someone at Sony Pictures having a grand time with viral marketing, but we have multiple possible titles for the upcoming 3rd Tom Holland “Spider-Man” film. All of which came from stars of the first two.Such as Holland himself saying the film will be titled “Spider-Man: Phone Home” in an Instagram post. Then, Jacob Batalon who plays Peter Parker’s best friend Ned posted his own version of the title, “Spider-Man: Home Wrecker.” Chances are, the real title won’t be either of these. This just in- TMZ is reporting that golf star Tiger Woods has been involved in a very serious car accident in Los Angeles. The previous report of the jaws of life being used to extract Woods has been updated, with attending officers reporting the use of an axe and pry bar.There were no other vehicles involved, nor passengers in Woods’ car. Back in 2015, it was announced that a possible Blue Beetle / Booster Gold film was in the works at Warner Bros. Pictures. This of course prompted casting rumors, most of which centered on Nathan Fillion and Alan Tyduk to portray the DC Comics heroes. We are very pleased to report the news that Ronald D. Moore (“Battlestar Galactica,” “Outlander,” “For All Mankind”) is currently developing a really magical project for Disney+.As you’ll recall, during Disney’s Investor Day presentation back in November, it was revealed that Moore was working on a “Swiss Family Robinson” something for the House of Mouse streaming service.
