Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Filmmaker Seth Rogen’s upcoming CGI-animated “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot is one shell closer to theaters/streaming service. Well…not REALLY, but we at least have a release date now? Earlier today, Rogen posted to his personal Twitter a binder paper page filled with notes. Sure looks like a page right out of a teenage boy/turtle’s high school note book, that’s for sure. The Stussy is a dead giveaway. Rogen, along with his Point Grey Pictures partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, are writing as well as producing the untitled “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” film. (UPDATE, August 2nd 2021- now we know…

If you’ll recall, news broke back in February that WB had brought on Ta-Nehisi Coates to write a new take on the Last Son of Krypton. Specifically, a black Superman. This isn’t a new idea, as rumors have abounded for the last five years at least that someone at WB was actively shopping a black lead in the iconic DC Comics’ role. Michael B. Jordan was rumored as far back as 2018, when Marvel…
