Filmmaker Seth Rogen’s upcoming CGI-animated “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot is one shell closer to theaters/streaming service. Well…not REALLY, but we at least have a release date now? Earlier today, Rogen posted to his personal Twitter a binder paper page filled with notes. Sure looks like a page right out of a teenage boy/turtle’s high school note book, that’s for sure. The Stussy is a dead giveaway. Rogen, along with his Point Grey Pictures partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, are writing as well as producing the untitled “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” film. (UPDATE, August 2nd 2021- now we know…

Ok, we’ll admit- this isn’t as outright exciting as we were hoping for. But, the one and only Jamie Lee Curtis made good on her promise to share an exclusive image from the set of Eli Roth’s upcoming live action “Borderlands” movie! Based on the hit video game franchise from Gearbox, this adaptation has an amazing cast, and we can’t wait to see what Roth does with it. On her Instagram, Curtis shared a very shadowy image, teasing Oscar winner Cate Blanchett as Lilith. TECHNICALLY, it’s an exclusive photo from the set? Right? *sigh* Yeah, we know. Curtis did say…

Please note in our headline, we say ‘what if,’ because so far there is zero information about directors for Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming black “Superman” movie. If you’ll recall, news broke back in February that WB had brought on Ta-Nehisi Coates to write a new take on the Last Son of Krypton. Specifically, a black Superman. This isn’t a new idea, as rumors have abounded for the last five years at least that someone at WB was actively shopping a black lead in the iconic DC Comics’ role. Michael B. Jordan was rumored as far back as 2018, when Marvel…
The Memorial Day box office finally has some oompth behind it, following a year of theater shut downs. The leading title currently is John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place Part II,” which has raked in $58 million. The sequel to the hugely successful (and frankly wonderfully terrifying) “A Quiet Place” had a difficult road finally opening. After several rescheduled dates, the Emily Blunt-starring flick finally opened in the US on May 28th, 2021. In a recent stop by “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” Krasinski…
