This is one of those surprise commercials that brought various emotions bubbling to the surface. Chevy’s all-electric Silverado commercial reunited Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler, who played Meadow and AJ Soprano respectively in David Chase’s hit HBO series “The Sopranos.” It’s…strange…to see Sigler reenact the iconic opening of the series, complete with Alabama 3’s “Woke Up This Morning.” Chevy has since released a behind-the-scenes featurette about the commercial.

Remember that poster Arnold Schwarzenegger shared teasing himself as Zeus? As we suspected, it was just for a Super Bowl ad. But- it’s kind of a GREAT ad! Also featuring Goddess Salma Hayek, this BMW ad is the stuff of some executive at SYFY’s dreams. We’d totally watch this movie, not gonna lie.
Nothing quite says the Super Bowl like teasers and trailers, right? Okay maybe that giant bowl of guac and chips in front of you does. And that keg of beer in your buddy’s backyard next to the BBQ. But really, a lot of us are just here for the trailers. Two days ago, Paramount Pictures dropped a teaser of a..teaser…for “Sonic the Hedgehog 2,” just for the big game. “The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes…
It’s not surprising that a much-anticipated and well-loved property has fans excited. Especially when it’s something like the live-action adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comic book, “The Sandman.” The series has been in the works for sometime through Netflix, and the small glimpses we’ve gotten have been wonderful. Understandably, fans want it NOW. Some outlets, apparently, do too. IGN, one of the pinnacles of pop-culture genre journalism, reported recently that they alone knew the release date of the upcoming series. Gaiman refuted this report. The author indicated that while principal filming is complete, post production is currently underway. So, make of…
Longtime Nerdbot readers know we absolutely love “Heavy Metal.” It’s one of those seminal, formative films we go back to often. The animated film is of course based on the iconic French magazine Métal hurlant, which those in other parts of the world know best as Heavy Metal magazine. This is the very first time the original film has officially been available in 4K, and we couldn’t be more excited to see Taarna! Amazon’s description: Debuting for the first time on 4K, the landmark animated adult musical cult favorite celebrates its 40th anniversary, with a debut on 4K Ultra HD.…
We are DELIGHTED to share the news that Ray Stevenson (“Rome,” “Thor,” “Black Sails”) is headed to a galaxy far, far away. News just broke that Stevenson is boarding Disney+’s “Ashoka” series! Stevenson voiced “Star Wars: Rebels” character Gar Saxon, Imperial Viceroy of Mandalore. Saxon of Clan Vizsla was the ruthless leader of the Imperial Super Commandos — Mandalorians loyal to the Empire. His armor featured a threatening color scheme of red and white, with the Imperial cog emblazoned on his shoulders. Word is Ray Stevenson will be playing a villain. We’re kind of hoping he’ll be bringing Gar Saxon…
If you haven’t noticed, we’re pretty excited about Disney+’s upcoming Marvel Studios’ “Moon Knight” series. It’ll star Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector, a seriously complicated character. Today, Empire Magazine released two new magazine covers featuring Moon Knight. One is a still from the series, and the other a poster by the legendary artist Bill Sienkiewicz.Personally, we LOVE the Sienkiewicz piece!! Let’s remember it was Sienkiewicz’ cover when Marvel Comics launched the character’s solo title in 1980. So, please check out the two gorgeous covers for Empire’s upcoming February 17th, 2022 issue. The series will hit Disney+ on March 30th, 2022.
It would appear those Replicant rumors are true, and Ridley Scott is indeed developing another live-action “Blade Runner” project. Touted as “Blade Runner 2099,” this series is currently sitting at Amazon. Sources indicate Scott will executive produce, with Silka Luisa writing and also executive producing. It’ll come from Scott Free Productions in association with Alcon Entertainment and Amazon Studios. The filmmaker had claimed to be in process on a script in 2021, so we’re assuming this is the same project.”Blade Runner 2099″ is believed to follow in the storyline footsteps of “Blade Runner 2049,” which was directed by Denis Villeneuve. Thats…sort…
