Shai Hulud! We have more news from the world of Frank Herbert! Hot on the heels of that AMAZING new theatrical trailer for Denis Villenueve’s “Dune,” HBO Max has confirmed the appointment of a new showrunner for the Bene Gesserit-centric series, “Dune: The Sisterhood.” Diane Ademu-John has been announced as taking over as showrunner for “The Sisterhood.” Personally, this excites me, as she has two very interesting series to her credit that I absolutely loved when they were on the air- “Medium” and “Crossing Jordan.” And, having more “Dune,” especially about the Bene Gesserit, is freaking AWESOME. Back when the…
I’m gonna dive right in to the new “Dune” trailer that hit this morning, because WHY THE HELL NOT. After delays, release confusion, and what seems like a never ending level of frustration, we’re getting ever closer to the actual bowing of the ultimate coming of age story. Frank Herbert’s seminal work “Dune” was first published in 1965, and has endured as a major touchstone of the science fiction genre. Rich in lore and world creating, the saga of politics, humanity, and adventure seems to reach every single generation. There was of course David Lynch’s seminal film version of the…
If you know one thing about us here at Nerdbot, its that Denis Villuneve‘s “Dune” is perhaps our most anticipated movie of the last decade. The Frank Herbert creation is pretty much our “Star Wars.” So, you can probably understand why we get so excited anytime something new arrives for it. Following a very special evening where fans were treated to an IMAX treat of “Dune” goodness, a new trailer for the epic film was released. Perhaps the greatest thing about this new trailer is all the Hans Zimmer score goodness we’re teased with. The soaring other-wordly soundscapes of this truly alien desert…
This just in-it would appear that “In The Heights” breakout star Leslie Grace has nabbed the coveted role of Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, in an upcoming solo film project from Warner Bros. Pictures. Last we reported, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be directing from a script by Christina Hodson. Obviously, we’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news. This story is developing…

If you know one thing about us here at Nerdbot, its that Denis Villuneve’s “Dune” is perhaps our most anticipated movie of the last decade. The Frank Herbert creation is pretty much our “Star Wars.” So, you can probably understand why we get so excited anytime something new arrives for it. Yesterday, it was official character posters for the main cast, which you can see here. Today, it’s 6 additional (yeah, we’re including the better Yueh one) posters, including Piter, who looks suspiciously like Howie Mandel. Today is actually a special day for “Dune,” as an IMAX presentation is happening…
