Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Brendon Small, co-creator of “Metalocalypse” and one of the main musicians behind Dethklok, has a plea for you. His Los Angeles studio was recently robbed, and thieves were able to make off with equipment and several instruments. As often happens with thefts of this type, it’s likely the thieves will try to sell some or all of the items. So, if you happen to be in the Los Angeles or surrounding areas, keep an eye out. Small tweeted a list of the items. We’re always sorry to report on situations like this. This absolutely sucks.

We’re all still in a bit of shock after Warner Bros. Pictures made the baffling decision to shelve their live-action “Batgirl” film. All reports agree the film, which apparently cost somewhere between $70-$90 million, was complete. This wasn’t a case of reshoots. This wasn’t even a case of a legal drama-prone lead like Ezra Miller’s “The Flash,” which, as of today, is still on the release slate. The recent merger of Discovery and WB seems to be the main culprit, at least on paper. “Batgirl” was originally developed as a HBO Max release, bypassing a traditional theatrical release.
