We’re sorry to say, but it seems like the 3rd Patty Jenkins-helmed “Wonder Woman” film will NOT happen. This story comes from multiple sources, one of which being The Hollywood Reporter. Apparently a treatment for “Wonder Woman 3” was submitted by Jenkins (co-written by Geoff Johns). THR says their sources indicate co-CEOs of DC Studios James Gunn and Peter Safran, along with WB brass Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy thought the project “did not fit in with the new (but still unfolding) plans.”This could be due to several reasons; chief among them likely the poor reception to “Wonder Woman…

Today marked a special day in the lives of fans of James Cameron’s “Avatar” film. The sequel, many, many years in the making, has finally had it’s world premiere. As expected, the first reactions to the film are coming in via the usual channels, and so far, reception is positive. The most common thing we’re seeing from official press and notable persons who either saw “Avatar: The Way of Water” at the London premiere or at screenings around the world are “Never bet against James Cameron.” Perhaps the most interesting reaction- Obviously we all knew it was going to be…
Today marks a special day for fans of James Cameron’s “Avatar” films. The long awaited sequel (of a planned 5-film series) is having it’s world premiere in London. This means first reactions will be coming later today/tonight, but it also means the press was able to ask some pointed questions to cast and crew. Like whomever decided to ask producer Jon Landau about other films he may be working on. “Well uh, there’s a little film called ‘Alita: Battle Angel’ that we’d love to circle back and do a sequel to. And uh, we’re talking to Robert [Rodriquez] about that,…
Despite being a highly divisive series among fans, Disney+’s “Star Wars” series “Andor” is garnering some hefty critical praise. The Critics Choice Awards have announced their list of nominations for the best in television (traditional and streaming, although streaming sure seems to dominate) this morning. “Andor” nabbed two pretty big nominations. Diego Luna has been nominated for Best Actor in a Drama series, as well as “Andor” getting the nod for Best Drama series. The rest of the list is pretty expected; “Better Call Saul” across drama categories, “The Bear” and “Barry” honored in the comedy categories, but some good…
We are very sorry to share the news that Emmy winning actress Kirstie Alley has passed away. Probably best known for her role as Rebecca on the ever popular “Cheers,” Alley was a mainstay across comedy and television for decades. Her family confirmed her passing with a statement posted to Alley’s various social media accounts. While “Cheers” was a very popular series, many would recognize Alley best for her role in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.” She played Saavik, a Vulcan protégée of Spock. The part was later recast, but Alley’s performance is outstanding. She was 71.
Yes, Warner Bros. Pictures is still going to release the Ezra Miller-starring “The Flash” film. While today’s news isn’t a BIG move, any information about the flick still seeing the light of day is interesting. The news is so fresh in fact, the official social media accounts for the film haven’t been updated yet. “The Flash” will now bow June 16th 2023, which just happens to be Father’s Day weekend. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
Losing generational icons is never easy. Especially when it’s someone like Bob McGrath from the long-running children’s program, “Sesame Street.” McGrath joined the series at the very beginning in 1969. He played Bob Johnson, the second-longest reoccurring human character on the show, until 2016 when he left the series. (He did appear again a few times though.)Bob McGrath passed away on December 4th, 2022 at the age of 90. Some “Sesame Street” co-stars and The Muppets stars shared their grief. The Sesame Workshop also offered their collective thoughts on McGrath. Thank you so much for everything, Bob. You were one…
It’s been awhile since we heard anything official about Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming DC Studios project “Blue Beetle.” Obviously based on the DC Comics character, the film will star Xolo Maridueña (“Cobra Kai”) as Jaime Reyes, a Latino superhero! We’re also getting Harvey Guillén and Susan Sarandon, so it’s already shaping up to be a pretty interesting movie. This morning, co-head of DC Studios James Gunn shared the official poster for “Blue Beetle.” While it’s not a set release date, a confirmation of sometime in 2023 is also included. It’s been a pretty busy week for Gunn, with the first…
IT’S FINALLY HAPPENED. “Ted Lasso” writer and star Brett Goldstein has conducted perhaps the greatest interview of all time. If you were unaware, the Roy Kent actor loves The Muppets. I mean who doesn’t? But his love includes the AMAZING “The Muppet Christmas Carol,” which is the best adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic put to film. Goldstein has even performed a one-man medley of songs from the movie. Needless to say, he loves it. Entertainment Weekly managed to make a dream come true for Goldstein- he was able to interview the original cast of “The Muppet Christmas Carol” for…
