Artist turned publisher Jim Lee has added yet another title to his collection for DC Comics. Lee, who has served as publisher and CCO (Chief Creative Officer) of the industry giant, has been given a promotion. He is now the President of DC.
For those familiar with Lee and his work, this seems like a “duh finally” move. He’s been one of the driving forces behind the brand for several years.
President of Global Brands, Franchises and Experiences at Warner Bros. Discovery Pam Lifford made the announcement.
“X-Men #1,” which Lee drew with inker Scott Williams (story by Chris Claremont) in 1991, still holds the all-time record for single-issue sales of a comic. We look forward to seeing what this promotion means for Lee and the DC universe.
