She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. We are delighted to share the news that Johan Renck, Emmy winner for his amazing work on HBO’s “Chernobyl,” will direct the first two episodes of “Dune: The Sisterhood.” HBO Max’s series will be a “Dune” prequel about the Bene Gesserit. The Sisterhood schemes across a millennium to set in motion the birth of a messiah, the Kwisatz Haderach, a male Bene Gesserit who has the power to unlock genetic memory. CinemaCon is happening this week in Las Vegas, and the news is flying. Disney just kicked off their 90-minute panel, which will reportedly contain roughly 70 minutes of footage. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige was on hand, to introduce a sizzle reel. Feige says he just came back from a ‘creative retreat’ where they planned out the next 10 years of the MCU. Surprising no one, Warner Bros. Pictures has officially declared a sequel to Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” is on the way. Announced during WB’s CinemaCon 2022 panel, this comes as a nice official confirmation. “The Batman” just hit HBO Max recently, so if you haven’t seen it, you absolutely should.
