Netflix has just released the trailer for its newest sci-fi drama, “The Kitchen.” The film is the feature-length directorial debut for both Daniel Kaluuya (“Get Out”) and Kibwe Tavares (“Robot & Scarecrow”). It takes place in a dystopian London dripping with cyberpunk flare, where the working class battle against a brutal ruling upper class. Social housing has been completely eliminated forcing the working class into “The Kitchen.” While the bulk of the two-minute trailer focuses on the new universe scripted by Kaluuya and Joe Murtagh (“The Woman in the Wall”), we do get some sense of the main characters. The story revolves…

We’re sorry to report MAX series “Warrior” will not return for a fourth season. The previous three seasons of the show are headed to Netflix starting in the new year. This arrangement is part of a co-exclusive deal with MAX in Warner Bros. Discovery streamer’s markets. There’s even a chance if it does well enough on Netflix, the martial arts crime drama could be revived for additional seasons. Based on an original concept and treatment by Bruce Lee, “Warrior” is set in the late 19th century during the Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown. The story centers around Ah Sahm…
Actor Christopher Abbott (“Poor Things”) will lead Leigh Whannell’s (“The Invisible Man”) upcoming movie, “Wolf Man.” The past three years of production has not only shifted lead actors, but directors as well. Ryan Gosling was originally set to star, but has stepped back to an executive producer role for undisclosed reasons. [Though we doubt it was him bringing a lack of Kenergy to the part.] While Whannell was the first director attached to this project, he was replaced by Derek Cianfrance in 2021, only to come back on board. Even with all the pieces coming together, Blumhouse and Universal are…

The Rescues will be providing the score with Tony nominee Ethan Popp (“Tina, The Tina Turner Musical”) as music supervisor. James Carpinello, Marcus Chait, and Patrick Wilson are set to produce. This musical is being done under a special arrangement with Warner Bros Pictures, who holds the rights to the original film.…
Game dev company Fntastic has announced it will be closing its doors mere days after the problematic early access launch of “The Day Before.” This is just the latest development in a seemingly never-ending list of issues surrounding the video game. “Today, we announce the closure of Fntastic studio,” the company posted in a statement on X (formally Twitter). “Unfortunately, The Day Before has failed financially, and we lack the funds to continue. All income received is being used to pay off debts to our partners.” The company explained that it wanted to release more patches “to reveal the full…
Earlier this year, Paramount+ gave the classic NBC sitcom “Frasier” a long-awaited reboot. One of the first things fans noticed was the absence of Niles Crane (David Hyde Pierce), younger brother to Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer). While Pierce was extended an offer to return, he chose not to. “I never really wanted to go back,” Pierce told the Los Angeles Times about this decision. “It’s not like I said, ‘Oh, I don’t ever want to do that again.’ I loved every moment. It was that I wanted to do other things.” “When we got into real talks about the reboot,…
