Each holiday season companies roll out their seasonally specific products, then comes the traditionalwave of jokes about how limited edition Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup shapes look nothing like they are supposed to. Tampa, Florida resident Cynthia Kelly has decided to do something by suing The Hershey Company for $5 million over “misleading” packaging. Around Halloween, Kelly purchased a $4.49 Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkin treat from Aldi. While the product tasted fine, she was disappointed with how different it looked from the package. The orange and purple wrapper shows an image of a chocolate pumpkin with a face carved into it,…

Is it even possible to get through a holiday season without a rumor about another “Die Hard” movie?  Well, yippee ki-yay, because that’s exactly what’s happening once again. According to sources, this possible prequel film will follow a young John McClane. This would be a departure from the previously rumored project titled “McClane,” which was set to be a cross between a sequel and a prequel. That one would have followed the character, originally played by Bruce Willis across 5 movies, and other characters during two different time periods. Former pro-wrestler turned actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson told a small fib in a recent video. Even though Johnson is well known for his strict diet, he loves to share cheat day meals with fans. The problem with sharing these junk food-laden feasts is it’s pretty easy to backtrack them. Which brings us to the discovery that his recent “first time at In-N-Out” isn’t true. In fact, it wasn’t true the last time he claimed it, either. In August of 2022, Johnson posted a video of two In-N-Out burgers on a plate with fries in his kitchen. He claimed he…

Remember a few years back when various official and unofficial mascots went viral like the Superbowl’s Left Shark and Philadelphia Flyers’ Gritty? Well, they all now pale in comparison to college football’s self-sacrificing mascot, Strawberry. A mascot who died to feed hungry athletes, let’s see Gritty do that! On December 28th, Kellogg’s put on its first rebranded Pop-Tarts Bowl while simultaneously introducing the first-ever edible mascot. Even though the college games had been sponsored by the company in the past it was known as the Cheeto’s Bowl. At the end of those games, coaches would have buckets of the snack…

Global entertainment company Lionsgate has closed the deal on buying Hasbro’s Entertainment One (eOne) for $375 million in cash. While this is the same price tag as when the merger was announced in August, it is still subject to certain purchase price adjustments. This includes the assumption that certain production financing loans will come through. So while it’s a done deal, some clerical uncertainties still exist. This acquisition gains Lionsgate 6,500 different film and television titles, making its catalog one of the largest in the world. Not only is the company’s library expansive but diverse as well. eOne produces ABC’s…

Film concept artist Reid Southen (“The Hunger Games”) has been pointing out AI platform MidJourney’s blatant plagiarism for some time now. Late last week, Southen posted some very damning evidence on X (formally Twitter). He shared a collection of screenshots from different users showing AI prompts of famous paintings, including Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” spitting out almost identical images. Several users wrote these examples off since the paintings are in the public domain, therefore fair game to be replicated. Southen doubled down and showed MidJourney is also doing this with copyrighted work. He shared a prompt of Joaquin Phoenix…

A Goodwill store in Richmond, Virginia sold a vase in June for $3.99, that was just auctioned off for $107,000. Life-long thrifter Jessica Vincent hits the local second-hand stores with her partner Naza Acosta a few times a week. But during an afternoon outing, she hit the jackpot with a beautiful brightly colored vase.  While browsing, she noticed a bootle-shaped vase with ribbons of aqua green and amethyst purple, that spiraled up its surface like stripes of paint. The only markings Vincent could make out were on the piece’s base and read “Murano” and “Italia.” “I bought it thinking it…
