The Mattel Company is bringing back everyone’s favorite [or most hated] purple dinosaur, Barney. The company will be relaunching the children’s franchise through a new television show aimed at the preschoolers. This time, the positivity-spreading dinosaur will be animated instead of someone in a costume. The relaunch may also include films and YouTube content, which may be more accessible to the younger set now. There will also be “apparel and accessories for adult fans, featuring classic Barney, are also in development,” Mattel says. Sounds like they are trying to hit the nostalgia-loving millennial set and hoping their kids come along…

Jason Derulo headlined the TikTok Tailgate, a pre-Super Bowl show, alongside The Black Keys. His performance is raising some serious questions that no one expected to ask today. Namely, why is he dancing with robot dogs? Yes, the singer/songwriter was busting a move on stage next to human and robotic K-9 dancers. Derulo’s performance happened right outside of the State Farm Stadium in Arizona. Super Bowl LVII featured the Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Kansas City Chiefs to determine who is best at sports ball. (Kansas City won, 38-35). During his performance, Derulo and a skilled team of human backup dancers…
Earlier this year, Ben Affleck and his wife, singer/actress Jennifer Lopez, were spotted at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Medford, Massachusetts. This didn’t seem odd really. We all know about the actor/director’s love of the chain. The oddness came from the fact that Affleck was working the drive-thru. Customers were surprised and delighted to see him handing them their orders. As predicted, the whole thing was for a Super Bowl spot with the couple. Affleck takes orders while praising the company’s quality and price point. “How can it be this inexpensive and good,” he ponders over the loudspeaker. Then the customers…
For the last 12 years, Dan Schachner has had the cutest job in show business as a ruff-eree for Animal Planet’s annual Puppy Bowl. Teams Ruff and Fluff face off in an adorable battle for the coveted Lombarky Trophy. It’s really the only show that could possibly compete with the Super Bowl. Schachner is there to capture every tense moment from touchdowns, to field goals, to impromptu potty breaks on the field. He has also confirmed that the puppy cheer squad, the water-bowl cam, the slo-mo camera, and the end zone pylon cams will all return for Puppy Bowl XIX.…
Legendary actress Dr. Pam Grier apparently turned down a Bond girl role. The “Jackie Brown” star was reportedly offered a part in 1983’s “Octopussy,” alongside then-007, Sir Roger Moore. Other actresses considered for the film included Sybil Danning, Faye Dunaway, Barbara Carrera, Persis Khambatta, Susie Coelho, Barbara Parkins, and Kathleen Turner. “My agents had me meet with [producers] the Broccoli family, and I’m going, ‘I’m not available,’” Grier said. “They looked at me and said, ‘Well, why are you here?’ I go, ‘I don’t know. My agent told me to come meet.'” By this point in her career, she had already done 1973’s…
IFC just dropped a teaser trailer for the new film “Paint,” directed by Brit McAdams (“Tosh.0”). Star Owen Wilson sports a big perm and button-down shirt while painting peaceful landscapes. While the comparison to the late Bob Ross is undeniable, this is NOT a biopic, but something else entirely. Wilson will play the fictional Carl Nargle, Vermont’s #1 public television painter. Though Nargle talks in a soothing tone about how it’s okay to feel “a little lost as we begin,” the plot soon takes an odd twist. We see fans treating Nargle more akin to a rock star than a…
New Zealand police announced more than 3.5 tons of cocaine was found floating in a remote part of the Pacific Ocean. The devil’s dandruff was apparently dropped there by an international drug-smuggling syndicate. Police Commissioner Andrew Coster says the find was dropped in 81 bales at a floating transit point. The island of misfit coke was intercepted by a navy ship had been deployed to the area last week. The wholesale value of the 3.5 tons of cocaine is about $500 million (NZD), or $316 million in the US. Making this the nation’s largest-ever drug seizure. While no arrests have…

Creators of popular children’s series “PAW Patrol” recently celebrated the show’s 10th anniversary. They also recently launched their first spin-off series, “Rubble & Crew,” and opened up about the development process. “PAW Patrol” debuted in 2013 as both a toy line and tv series aimed at preschoolers.
