George A. Romero’s 1968 genre-defining horror film “Night of the Living Dead” is getting a sequel. This project will be a collaboration between Village Roadshow Pictures, Chris Romero, the late Romero’s Sanibel Films, Origin Story, Vertigo, as well as Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Westbrook Studios. It will be directed by Nikyatu Jusu (“Nanny”), and written by LaToya Morgan (“The Walking Dead”). HBO Max recently released first look images for “A Christmas Story Christmas,” an upcoming sequel to “A Christmas Story.” The original film came out in 1983 and is based on Jean Shepherd’s 1966 novel, “In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash.” It was directed by Bob Clark, who 9 years prior directed another extremely popular Christmas movie, the horror staple “Black Christmas.”  But “A Christmas Story” is a family film that takes place in the 1940s. Hobby Lobby founder David Green is giving away the company. In explaining why, he directly referenced Yvon Chouinard, founder of the Patagonia outdoor apparel company. Back in September, Chouinard and his family put the ownership of the $3 billion company into a specially designed trust. This trust is created to preserve Patagonia’s independence, and ensure that all of its profits go to combat climate change. Which should certainly help considering the venture makes roughly $100 million a year. “Hellraiser” star and horror icon Doug Bradley is in talks to join the cast of “Pickman’s Model,” an upcoming film adaptation of an H.P. Lovecraft short story of the same name. This adaptation of the 1926 tale will be directed by filmmaker and sculptor Bryan Moore. “Pickman’s Model” will be the second installment in Moore’s planned Lovecraft trilogy.  Moore’s 1999 horror short “Cool Air” was the first film in the planned trilogy.
