The cast and crew of the animated show “Phineas and Ferb” got stuck on a Disneyland ride, during an outing. But the show’s co-creator Dan Povenmire had a hilarious response to it in a now-viral TikTok.
On June 26th, Povenmire and other members of the “Phineas and Ferb” cast and crew spent the day at Disneyland. While they were riding Rise of the Resistance in the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area, it broke down. Not exactly an uncommon occurrence, but it’s what they did next that’s the interesting thing.

They could have just waited for the park’s maintenance team to come to fix the issue, but Povenmire had another idea. He simply Facetimed Scott Trowbridge, senior creative executive at Walt Disney Imagineering. According to Povenmire, Trowbridge is also responsible for all things “Star Wars,” at the park.
The two are apparently also old pals from college. The exchange went exactly how you’d expect from friends that clearly like to rip on each other. Trowbridge jokingly placed a call with a toy of R2-D2. He then teased Povenmire asking if all they do is “sit around and ride rides.”

“Somebody has to make them, and somebody has to ride them,” Povenmire responded. “And that’s how we divided the labor!” The entire exchange was riddled with uncontrollable laughter.
While the TikTok claims they were stuck on the ride for 45 minutes, he later admitted the issue was solved in 10-15 minutes. Povenmire also expressed surprise that the ride broke down. But commenters pointed out that Rise of the Resistance is notorious for being shut down off and on.
“IT BROKE DOWN FOR ME TOO, I was there Sunday!” user Danielle Threet said. “We sat there for nearly 30 minutes before the Empire came and escorted us out. 😂😂😂” The comment’s section is riddled with others sharing experiences similar to Threet’s.
Povenmire’s TikTok has only been up for four days and has already garnered over 950,00 views. You can check it out for yourself below:
