Joaquin Phoenix Joker Might Be a Coked up Failed Comedian

A new rumor is making its rounds on the internet stating that Joaquin Phoenix’s take on the Joker origin will be much…..much… different than anything ever done before. As reported by Following the Nerd, the Nerd Rage Podcast has claimed to have seen proof of this off the wall transformation of the Clown Prince of Crime.

Take what is said next with a grain of salt as this is really just an unconfirmed rumor for now, with little to no evidence, to back the claim up.

In the Todd Philips take on the character The Joker, before his complete transformation, is a very heavy drug user. After having a complete and total melt down on air while being interviewed by Robert De Niro’s character. Pre-Joker, Joaquin Phoenix, will return home and go overboard on the drugs. This will break his characters psyche turning him into the insane Jester of hate. His trademark white skin will come from the smearing of cocaine all over his face and skin.

With all the flack and hate the DCEU has taken lately, if this rumor turns out to be true, this could be the straw that breaks the camels back for DC comics movie universe. Shazam and Aqua-Man may not be enough to save it from destruction. Let us hope these are just rumors for now and we get a much more interesting and in depth look at how The Joker came to be. I have high hopes for Phoenix’s take on the character. I just hope they can do it justice.
