We have to say, the casting department for The Conjuring: First Communion is not playing around. For the 3rd week in a row we have casting news about the upcoming horror film. Now, Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick), Marta Kessler (The Santa Clauses), and Caleb Dolden (Teacup) have come aboard.

They will co-star with Matthias Schweighöfer (Army of the Dead), who was announced last week. The week before that it was Garrett Wareing (Ransom Canyon) and Amanda Fix (Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma) signing on.
Plot details for First Communion are being kept under wraps. We do know this will be a prequel with Wareing and Fix playing younger versions of Ed and Lorraine Warren. The couple was previously portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga in the other 4 Conjuring films. Wilson and Farmiga ended their run as the demonologists with The Conjuring: Last Rites.
Rodrigue Huart (Are You Still Here?) will direct from a script by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing. The same duo behind Last Rites and The Autopsy of Jane Doe. New Line is backing the project with Peter Safran producing. John Rickard, Natalia Safran, and Romel Adam will executive produce.
The Conjuring: First Communion is currently slated to hit theaters on September 10, 2027.
