Mike Myers and Dana Carvey are bringing back their “Wayne’s World” personas in a new ad for Uber Eats. The commercial will air sometime during Super Bowl LV, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, live on Sunday February 7th.
“Wayne’s World” is a film that came out in 1992 and was based on the duo’s famous recurring SNL sketch of the same name. It’s been 29 years since the Penelope Mitchell-direct movie came out, and people still refer to it when they start singing “Bohemian Rhapsody” in the car. Now they will grace our screens once again and show us what we can all do to “Party On!”
It’s going to be great to see these two heavy metal fans jive onscreen one more time. And it gives another great reason to tune into the big game even if you’re not a fan of the teams playing.
I’m thinking sure, we did have “Wayne’s World 2” in 1993 but it didn’t do well. Maybe it wasn’t the right time or maybe it was just too soon. But if “Bill & Ted” can have another movie come out 29 years after the last movie then I don’t see why we can’t get another “Wayne’s World.”
