Not long ago, we wrote about a new initiative by Walmart and the Tribeca Film Festival that would help movie goers across the country not feel so lost. Theaters have remained closed due to COVID-19 and to help out with some late summer fun Walmart has put out a schedule of films that can be watched in their parking lots. It’s going to be a fun way to get together with the family, blast the A/C and watch a film together.

The crowd pleasing movies listed are “Wonder Woman,” “Black Panther,” “Wizard of Oz,” “Selena,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” and “Men in Black: International.”

Mixed in with some classics and family friendly films like “The Goonies,” “Ghostbusters,” “Beetlejuice,” “Lego Batman,” “Pokémon: Detective Pikachu,” and “Space Jam.”

The best part of this is that they have curb side pick up so you can order your snacks and drinks in advance and the tickets are FREE! Though you do have to make sure you reserve a time in advance to ensure you get a spot.

A total of 320 movie showings will take place from August 14th through October 21st at over 160 Walmart stores. All you need is a clean windshield, an FM radio and you’re set.

People are encouraged to stay in their vehicles and if you need to use the restroom then the Walmart nearby will have one at the ready being cleaned often. Masks are required to enter the store.
