This July marks the 10th anniversary of PlayStation Plus. Beginning on the PlayStation 3, PS Plus memberships allow players to download free games each month. They also allow members to utilize various multiplayer services. Normally, PlayStation spotlights two free games each month. However, in celebration of the anniversary they are offering three free games for July.

The first free title on offer is “Rise of the Tomb Raider.” As the second entry in Crystal Dynamic’s reboot trilogy, we return to Lara Croft as she raids tombs and searches for lost treasure. In “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” Lara ventures to Siberia in search of the legendary city of Kitezh. Her journey will be far from peaceful though. Along with surviving the elements, Lara must battle the paramilitary organization Trinity who search for Kitezh to discover its promise of immortality. It will take all of Lara’s skill and knowledge to reach Kitezh and stop Trinity.

July’s second free title is basketball simulation title “NBA 2K20.” As the 21st installment in the franchise, “NBA 2K20” tasks players with once again playing as real-life or customized players and teams. All games maintain the same rules and objectives of the NBA. Six more teams join the roster with this title, including the 2013-14 San Antonio Spurs and the 2015-16 Cleveland Cavaliers. MyCareer mode returns in this title, allowing players to create their own custom character and play through their own basketball career.

Finally, the third free title for PS Plus July is “Erica.” Originally designed around Sony’s PlayLink which allows players to control games with their smartphones, “Erica” is an adventure game that closely resembles an interactive film. “Erica” tells the story of a woman dealing with traumatic childhood trauma that continues to haunt her into adulthood. A friend believes that Erica’s memories are the key to discovering a killer’s identity. Soon, the killer in question contacts Erica and she finds herself trapped between unraveling her difficult past and grappling with a dangerous present. It’s a fairly short title but will have players on the edge of their seats the entire time.

All three of these titles will be available for PS Plus members to download for free from July 7 until August 3.
