It’s easy to forget that life is an adventure. You get bogged down in the monotony of your job and adult obligations. Before you know it, you’re so consumed by your to-do list that you forget to reflect on the most important things. Who stood by your side through the chaos? What hurdles have you overcome to get where you are now? That’s where The Hero’s Journal comes in and reminds you to see the adventure story in your own life.

The Hero’s Journal began as a Kickstarter project in 2018. Since then, the project has gained enough traction to have its own website and consistently sell out of its pre-order exclusives. What exactly is the Hero’s Journal you might ask? Well, it’s a 224 page journal consisting of a Quest Assessment and 90 daily pages. When you receive your journal, you first fill out the four stages of your Quest Assessment. In the first stage, call to adventure, you will map out your quest by setting objectives. In stages two and three, you will assess the risks of your quest and then identify your allies and enemies. The final stage asks you to outline a typical day of your journey and sign on the dotted line to accept your perilous adventure.

Congratulations, you are ready to start your personal adventure! Moving to the daily pages, you will write out the events of that day’s journey. You’ll identify allies and threats you encounter, fill out your calendar, list your most important tasks, and write down your quest so you never lose sight of your final goal. The Hero’s Journal keeps you in a fantasy story mindset through its cute artwork and story-oriented terminology. Life is a lot more exciting when you are on a quest instead of simply going through the motions. So if you struggle with keeping track of your daily tasks or simply want to better appreciate what each day brings, give The Hero’s Journal a look. The site is currently accepting pre-orders. You may just find your own unexpected journey!
