    Anime Expo Announces Anisong World Matsuri Concert Events

     Anime Expo is the largest anime and Japanese pop culture event in North America. The larger it grows, the more world famous talent they can book straight from Japan. 2018 promised to be no exception, with Anime Expo’s social media pages posting teasers the entire week leading up to their announcement.
    Every year they host “Anisong World Matsuri”. Anisong World Matsuri is a company that is in collaboration with BANDAI NAMCO Arts, Inc., Amuse Inc., Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., and other companies. Anisong World Matsuri’s mission is to bring anisong concerts to the world. This is their third year being invited to Anime Expo.

     

        Anime Expo released a statement early this morning saying, “Anime Expo (AX) is excited to present Anisong World Matsuri (AWM) at Anime Expo 2018 to be held during Anime Expo on July 4, 6, and 7. AWM is created in association with BANDAI NAMCO Arts, Inc., Amuse Inc., Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., and other leading Japanese entertainment companies.” (Ticket Sales Date TBA) All tickets will be between $60-$150.

    The musical guest announcement, which are already delighting fans nationwide, are as follows:

     

     LOVELIVE! SUNSHINE!! Aqours World Love Live! in LA ~Beyond the Pacific~

    When: Wednesday, July 4, 2018
    Doors Open 4:30 pm Show Starts 6:00 pm

    The popular seiyū of Love Live! Sunshine!!, the Aqours return to Anime Expo 2018 by popular demand. This is their third straight year being featured guests at the convention, but this time they are getting their own full concert!

    Japan Super Live 

    (Aimer, Yuki Kajiura, May’n, and Sanketsu-girl Sayuri)

    When: Friday, July 6, 2018
    Doors Open 5:30 pm  / Show Starts 7:00 pm

     Aimer of Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works fame, Yuki Kajiura (famous for Fate/Zero, Erased and many other titles), May’n (Internationally famous performer, best known for her work on Wake Up Girls! and Macross Frontier) and Sanketsu-girl Sayuri (a popular musician, singer and songwriter who performed the ending theme of Scum’s Wish) will all be performing in the Japan Super Live concert on Friday night.

    When: Saturday, July 7, 2018 Doors Open 4:00 pm / Show Starts 5:30 pm
    Idols are never in short demand, so you’re in luck. There will be an idol packed, mega blow out with amazing acts such as, AKB48 Team 8,THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS, i☆Ris, and Shoko Nakagawa.  Japan Kawaii Live will be a once in a life time experience, featuring some of the cutest and most talented Idol girls together under one roof.
