Wrestling and comic books have had a long, weird partnership.

DC Comics – owner and publisher of characters such as Superman, Batman, the Teen Titans, and Wonder Woman – is tag-teaming with AEW (All Elite Wrestling) to bring some of their wrestlers to print. AEW is poised to be the number 2 pro-wrestling promotion in the US, just behind WWE.

So far an image of Chris Jericho from artist Howard Porter has been shown…

And here’s an image of John Moxley (Dean Ambrose in the WWE) by Ramon Villalobos…

And Awesome King by Robson Rocha…

AEW will show up this October on TNT. TNT is owned by Warner, who also owns DC Comics. Will we see an AEW comic book? An AEW cartoon? Do we have to sit through a terrible cosplayer of Catwoman wrestler in AEW? Will Marvel partner with the WWE now?! Only time will tell!

What professional wrestler do you want to see immortalized in DC? Let Nerdbot know in the comments!

Born on the snowy shores of Lake Erie in good ol' Cleveland, Ohio, Kurt Broz has been there and back again, now residing in sunny Southern California. You can find THE Kurt Broz in cosplay, buying comics, hiking, and even writing for Nerdbot and WLFK Productions. He may be a child of the 80's but he is certainly a man of the world.
