Mattel’s Monster High Skullector Line Gets a Gozer Doll with Terror Dogs

Mattel is kicking off Ghostbusters Day with a collector’s item worth talking about. In commemoration of the 1984 Ghostbusters Day special, Mattel released the latest product to join the horror-glam Skullector line. This is Gozer the Gozerian. It is the evil, vicious entity from the original Ghostbusters film. Two fanbases will soon be fighting over a single shelf space.

Mattel’s Monster High line was originally composed of dolls based on classic monsters like Frankenstein and Dracula. But the Skullector sub-line has expanded to include contemporary icons like the Xenomorph from Alien. It also includes Lupita Nyong’o‘s two personas from Jordan Peele‘s Us, and even Shorty from Killer Klowns from Outer Space. So Gozer seems like a long overdue addition.

In terms of design, Mattel didn’t skimp. The shapeshifting entity is based on her original look, complete with a bubble-studded bodysuit and massive purple lightning blasts. The 10.5 inch tall figure also comes with 11 points of articulation, making the figure pop up in many poses. She also has removable purple lightning wrist gauntlets, Killer Klowns-inspired red eyes, and then there are the shoes.

The shoes are worth a second look by themselves. It’s the kind of thing that collectors notice immediately and consumers might miss.

The figure comes with mini versions of her faithful Terror Dogs, Zuul and Vinz Clortho. Packed in premium packaging that features Gozer standing atop the Temple steps ready to shoot down the Ghostbusters. The set also includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

Slavitza Jovan played the Destructor in the first film, with an uncredited Paddi Edwards providing the voice. While Shohreh Aghdashloo voiced the character in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The doll itself references that original film’s look directly, keeping it clean and true to the aesthetic.

Metering through the big guns, Fang Club members can buy the doll for 24 hours beginning June 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM PT. After that, the Skullector Ghostbusters Gozer doll goes to the rest of us at 9:00 AM PT on June 9.

Both Monster High collectors and Ghostbusters collectors want this doll. The crossover is real, and an early sellout on Skullector releases isn’t new. Anyone serious about covering it needs to be there at the 9 AM opening.

The drop is exactly on point, Sony and Netflix just made use of the Ghostbusters Day events in NYC to announce the title of their 2027 animated Ghostbusters: Night Shift.

Execution-wise, it’s good. The Easter egg shoe and Terror Dog inclusions elevate it from simply a license release. Die-hard fans of either property will find it difficult to let it go.
