Horror movies and urban legends are the peanut butter and jelly of genre films. The anthology movie The Summoning sees one of these old-school tales spring to life.
The upcoming film tells the story of 3 teen girls stuck in a nightmarish babysitting gig when they summon Baby Blue. Their survival depends on uncovering the past to escape a mother’s wrath from beyond the grave.
It is directed by Felipe Vargas (Hive), Corey Benson Powers (Dead Talk Tales: Volume I), Brian Sepanzyk (Bloody Bites), Sergio Gonzalez, and Brandon Piskorik. From a script by Camilo Zaffora (Play Dead).
Valeria San Martín (1978), Justina Ceballos (The Caregiver), Daniela Flombaum (Kally’s Mashup), Agustín Olcese (Hot Line), Nannu Spannauss, and Giovanni Onetti star. Producers include Nicolás Onetti, Michael Kraetzer, and Carlos Goitia.
