As promised, Sony released the 1st official trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This will be the 4th stand alone Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The upcoming movie will take place after the events of 2012’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

As the trailer explains, the world had to forget that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) was Spider-Man to stop something bad from happening.
We see the webslinger in a dark palace, watching his love interest, MJ (Zendaya), and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) live their lives without him. On top of this, he is still processing the loss of his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei). And now he gets to go through becoming Spider-Man all over again.
The trailer shows some new faces alongside legacy MCU actors. Scorpion (Michael Mando) is reprising their role from Spider-Man: Homecoming. We see Peter duke it out with the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), with whom he eventually teams up. In the trailer, he also approaches the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) for help in figuring out why his body is changing all. Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Tramell Tillman (Severance), Liza Colon-Zayas (The Bear), and Marvin Jones II will be joining the franchise.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31. You can check out the new trailer below:
