Paramount Pictures has released a splashy Super Bowl ad for,“Scream 7.” The company also announced an opening-night fan screening event the day before the film receives a wide release, at participating Imax locations. A huge first for a franchise that is already 7 films and a tv series deep.

“Scream 7” will have the focus of the franchise shift back to the final girl that started it all, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). This time the omnipresent Ghostface killer(s) show up in a new town where Sideny has started over. Up until now living a life once again devoid of knife wielding maniacs.
However, this time they have their sights set on her daughter Tatum (Isabel May), named for her slain best friend (Rose McGowan) in the first film.

“Hello Sydney,” Ghostface says in the 60 second spot. “I’m gonna make everyone you love suffer — while you watch.” And given the montage of carnage being shown over the dialogue, it sounds like they plan on delivering.
Campbell and May star alongside Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, David Arquette, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Mckenna Grace,Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons, Matthew Lillard, Joel McHale, and Courteney Cox.
The movie is directed by Kevin Williamson, who wrote the first “Scream” film and created the core characters. He also co-wrote the script for “Scream 7” with Guy Busick from a story Busick co-wrote with James Vanderbilt.
“Scream 7” hits theaters nationwide on February 27th. Early Imax screenings will be held at participating locations starting at 6 P.M.. You can check out the new Super Bowl ad spot below:
