On December 31st 2025, Nintendo of America’s President and COO, the perfectly named Doug Bowser, retired. Not long after, he found a new line of work. Bowser has joined the board of directors at Hasbro. The toy manufacturer/entertainment holding company behind Wizards of the Coast, Monopoly, Nerf, and IPs like “Transformers” and “Peppa Pig.”

During Bowser’s time at Nintendo, he oversaw the launch of Nintendo Switch 2 and aided the company in branching off into more licensed merchandise. His role has since been taken over by Devon Pritchard, the first female President of Nintendo of America.
Hasbro is also welcoming the former CEO of The Honest Company, Carla Vernón, to the board.
