Have you ever wanted to see Jack Black (“The Minecraft Movie”) and Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man”) run from a giant snake? Well here is your chance, the first trailer for the “Anaconda” reboot has just dropped and it’s everything we expected. Down to it being socred by the Sir Mix-a-Lot classic “Baby Got Back.”

“Anaconda” will be directed by Tom Gormican (“The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent”) from a script he co-wrote with Kevin Etten (“Workaholics”). However, it will not be a traditional remake of the 1997 film starring Jennifer Lopez, which follows a crew for National Geographic being salked by the massive reptile.
This time around it will focus on a group of friends that are facing midlife crises and set out to remake their favorite childhood movie. After failing to get the funding the project needs, they decide to shoot it as a low budget indie. Several people with no training shooting a movie with a huge live snake, what could go wrong?
Well, from the looks of the first trailer, pretty much everything.
“Anaconda” will hit theaters on December 25th, 2025. You can check out the trailer below:
