Life seems slightly less unfair with Disney+’s “Malcolm in the Middle” revival just around the corner. Star Frankie Muniz posted a behind-the-scenes photo with on-screen parents Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek. The trio will be reprising their respective roles as Malcolm, Hal, and Lois.

“Malcolm in the Middle” Returns
The four episode revival will see the titular character all grown up with a daughter of his own. Despite his best efforts, they are sucked back into the family’s chaos when his parents demand they attend their 40th wedding anniversary.
Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield will also reprise their roles as Malcolm’s on-screen siblings Francis and Reese. The only family member not returning is Erik Per Sullivan as Dewey. The part has been recast with Caleb Ellsworth-Clark. Sullivan seemingly left acting to focus on acidemis in 2010.
Other fresh faces include Kiana Madeira who stars as Tristan, Malcolm’s girlfriend and his daughter Leah played by Keeley Karsten. Anthony Timpano plays the family’s youngest brother, Jamie and Vaughan Murrae is their youngest sibling and only daughter, Kelly
Kelly’s existence was announced in the series finale when Hal and Lois said they were expecting a sixth child. The character is described as “self-sufficient” and “already wiser than most of the family.” Malcolm’s daughter Leah is said to share “the same sarcastic humor, same impulsiveness and the same frighteningly high intelligence” as her father, “but she’s far more sensitive and emotional.”
