On Wednesday, during Universal‘s presentation at CinemaCon, a man in a bear costume invaded the stage. But this wasn’t the work of some expert level troll- it was producer Jason Blum in the suit! The founder and CEO of Blumhouse just wanted to cause a ruckus to announce a teaser trailer for the upcoming “Five Nights At Freddy’s 2.”
“I love to save money,” Blum said. “And on the first movie, I was in the suit the entire time.”

He proved this by showing photos of him dressed as the Wicked Witch from “Wizard of Oz” and the titular villain in “M3GAN.” Before showing his family dressed as a night at the movies, with Blum as a poster marquee and his kids dressed up as candy and Sprite. An incredibly cute lead in to some blood-soaked footage.

Once Blum concluded show-and-tell, he confirmed “Five Nights At Freddy’s 2” will get a theatrical release before heading to Peacock. Then he shared a 49 second teaser where we see the killer animatronics from the first movie reanimate to go on another killing spree. The footage is all quick cuts and intentionally chaotic, it looks like there will be a considerable amount of carnage.
“Five Nights At Freddy’s 2,” will have Emma Tammi return to direct from a script she co-wrote with Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback.
Josh Hutcherson will reprise the role of Mike, a security guard who protects the pizza parlor that houses these anaimatronics. Matthew Lillard will return as Steve Raglan/William Afton, with Piper Rubio as Abby, and Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” hits theaters nationwide on December 5th, 2025. Afterwards it will move to Peacock, on a yet to be determined date. You can check out the first teaser trailer below:
