In the immortal words of Sir Elton John; “The bitch is back.” The sassy killer AI from 2022’s “M3GAN” is back again for “M3GAN 2.0.” She just looks a bit… different now.

Following the AI’s killing spree from the first film, M3GAN’s creator Gemma (Allison Williams), decides that the Tween robot is too powerful. So she and her niece Cady (Violet McGraw) decide that putting the program into a knock-off Teletubby should quell her violent urges. M3GAN isn’t thrilled but settles down once promised the opportunity to earn her humanoid body back.

An even bigger twist soon arises when they discover the technology behind M3GAN was stolen by a powerful defense contractor. The company’s misuse of the program creates a military-grade weapon known as Amelia. Amelia quickly goes rogue and begins her own campaign of terror. Dragging Gemma and Cady back in to help stop her in the process. Gemma soon realizes their only hope is to trust that M3GAN has honestly changed and will help them stop Amelia.

However, for her to even stand a chance they must make her faster, stronger, more lethal, and a bit taller. Making her possible betrayal even more risky. Will M3GAN be able to take down Amelia? Or is this just another ruse for her to destroy anyone who comes between her and Cady?

    “M3GAN 2.0”

Like the first film, Jenna Davis will voice the titular villain, with Amie Donald physically playing her. The movie also stars Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epps, Ivanna Sakhno, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement.

Gerard Johnstone will once again direct from a script by Akela Cooper. James Wan of Atomic Monster and Jason Blum of Blumhouse will return as producers.

“M3GAN 2.0” will sashay her way into theaters on June 27th, 2025. You can check out the new trailer below:
