Vincent D’Onofrio Explains “Daredevil: Born Again” Trailer Delay

Marvel Studios’ upcoming show “Daredevil: Born Again” is slated to hit Disney+ in under two months. While the streamer has released some footage, an official trailer hasn’t materialized yet. Star Vincent D’Onofrio, who is reprising his role as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, explained why it’s been delayed.

In a post on X (formally Twitter) about the show a commenter asks “Trailer?” To which D’Onofrio responds, “Postponed because of LA fires. It’s coming.” And the state of California having several out-of-control wildfires is more than enough of a reason to delay a trailer. As it stands, the show is still set to release on time.

“Born Again” Sets An Odd Record

This delay has put “Born Again” in a unique position though. While Marvel and Disney both tend to promote their upcoming projects ad nauseam. At the end of December, this series set the record for the least amount of time between a trailer and the project’s release date. The previous holder was season two of “Loki” which saw only 66 days between a trailer and its release. Whereas “Echo” was a close second, now third, at 67 days, and “Moon Knight” had a 71-day turnaround time.

That isn’t to say these projects weren’t heavily promoted, because they were, just without the aid of a trailer. Given the current climate of fans feeling that trailers give too much away, we highly doubt this will impact the show’s success. Daredevil is a well-established character with a loyal fan base and a previously successful series and movie. Not to mention all of the aforementioned shows also did well with the short turnaround time.

“Daredevil: Born Again” will premiere on Disney+ on March 5th, 2025. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the series as they become available.
