Dave Bautista Might Play Peacemaker in Gunn’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Reboot

When the controversy over James Gunn started up last year Dave Bautista stayed close by his side. As with many of the actors who had worked with him did. Now Gunn is working with DC and directing the upcoming Suicide Squad “reboot” and Bautista is in talks to join the cast. This news comes after hearing that Idris Elba may play the new Deadshot.

In a recent report by Collider they released a list of names who could be opposing the Suicide Squad in this film. The most fitting for Bautista would be Peacemaker.

Peacemaker is also known as Christopher Smith. He is “an agent of peace whose motives are driven by an extremist form of pacifism that makes him love peace so much he would kill for it.” Sounds a little like Thanos if you ask me. I mean he only wanted to end world hunger right?

Other names listed for potential rivals of the squad were Ratcatcher(who will reportedly be gender-swapped), King Shark, and Polka-Dot Man.

As far as casting news goes it seems that Gunn is really filling out all the pieces nicely. Margot Robbie is rumored to be returning and hopefully if all goes well she can. Others are still up in the air as to whether or not we will see them again. We still don’t have an official plot for the film but stay tuned and we will keep you updated!

The Suicide Squad will be released on August 6th 2021

Do you think Bautista would fit this role? Who do you want to see opposite Suicide Squad? Tell us in the comments!
